Description
The Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology at the level of Assistant Professor.
The Department of Psychology is collaborative, interactive, and committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge about the mind, the brain, and behavior. It is housed within the School of Arts & Sciences, which comprises the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate Division, and the College of Liberal and Professional Studies. Interdisciplinary research and collaboration are supported by the breadth and depth of academic pursuits at Penn and by the close proximity of departments, centers, and affiliated hospitals on our contiguous green urban campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The successful candidate will join the core faculty of our APA- and PCSAS-accredited clinical training program, which is designed to prepare students for academic/research careers in clinical psychology. The candidate will also contribute to the department’s teaching missions at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Our faculty and students benefit from an exceptional intellectual community that spans Penn’s 12 schools as well as numerous centers relevant to psychological science, including the MindCORE center for the interdisciplinary study of the mind, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Initiative, the Positive Psychology Center, the Computational Neuroscience Initiative, the Penn Brain Science Center, the Penn AI initiative, and many others. Our work is further enriched by the wide array of research, clinical, and training opportunities available throughout the greater Philadelphia region.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology awarded by August 2027
- Strong research potential in any area of clinical science, broadly defined, that complements existing strengths in our department and University
- Capacity for teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and capacity for mentoring and supporting a diverse student body
- Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed or license eligible in clinical psychology
