Flexible Full Time, Permanent opportunities are available
Full time is 36 hours 15 minutes per week (7 hours 15 minutes per day), with flexible options between operating hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm each day.
Salary up to $111,975 p.a. + 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading

We’re currently undergoing a period of change in how we deliver mental health services within our centres, and within that we’re expanding our psychology workforce to include social workers and occupational therapists.
Our Mental Health Clinician roles can suit newly graduated or early career Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists who want to be part of these crucial centre-based teams.
This is a unique operating environment where you will be supported with professional development, supervision and be exposed to on the job learning like no other role, all while providing quality clinical services that include assessments and tailored interventions that support the mental health, wellbeing, and rehabilitation of individuals in custody.
In your role as a Mental Health Clinician, no two days will be the same. Your work will include:
Conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk
Providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options to individuals
Delivering individual or group-based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience
Maintaining a high level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems and clinical and psychometric assessment tools
QCS' clinical frameworks provide sound guidance and logic for appropriate decisions and activities, plus you will have supportive leadership and supervision to help you continue to broaden your professional experience and knowledge.

Requirements
The following mandatory requirements apply to this role:
For Psychologists
Possession of a degree from a registered tertiary institution in psychology or behavioural science
Hold either general or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA or be eligible for registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Further, as a result of the registration pathways changing in June 2022, psychology students are required to complete one of the pathways to become eligible for AHPRA registration, please find here: Study pathways | APS . Unfortunately, the 4+2 pathway has been superseded which means you will still be required to undergo additional studies if you have only currently completed the 3-year bachelor’s degree and the 4th year honours program.
For Social Workers
It is a mandatory requirement for all Social Work positions that the candidate is eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Eligibility is dependent on having completed a University Level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW.
Overseas qualified Social Workers require a "certification of eligibility" letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership of AASW. Overseas qualified applicants should include such evidence with their application to be considered for short listing in the selection process.
For Occupational Therapists
Possession of a degree in occupational therapy from a recognised tertiary institution,
Hold or be eligible for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia/AHPRA.
