Our client is seeking Behavior Health Technicians to work with adults with mental health challenges in a Group home setting in Richmond, VA 23225.

Available shifts are:
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Behavioral Health Technician plays a crucial role in providing specialized care and support for individuals with mental health disorders in a Mental Health Group Home.

o Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with mental health needs in a compassionate and therapeutic manner.
o Implement and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
o Employ de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
o Administer medications per protocol and monitor responses.
o Facilitate therapeutic group activities, counseling sessions, and skill-building exercises.
o Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
o Ensure safety and security by following established protocols.
o Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other team members.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
" Associates Degree or High School Diploma/GED
" Previous experience in BH, Residential, or human services
" Valid Driver's License
" 32-hour Medication Certification
" BLS Certification (in-person)
" Ability to manage crises, communicate effectively, and perform physical interventions
