Company Overview
The University of Kentucky Counseling Center: Consultation and Psychological Services (UKCC) is a comprehensive university counseling center providing group, couples and individual therapy; outreach and preventative programming; and consultation to University of Kentucky undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The UKCC also provides consultation to those involved with UK students including faculty, staff, TAs, administrators and family members of students. The UKCC is heavily involved in the training of students as future mental health professionals. The training emphasis of the Center promotes the staff utilizing best practices and staying abreast with the latest advances in the field. The Center when fully staffed has 19 licensed clinicians and 15 trainees. The latter includes doctoral practicum students from multiple psychology programs and 5 doctoral psychology interns.
The UKCC is committed to inclusive excellence, welcoming a wide range of clients for psychological services and those seeking consultation. The Center is also involved with many diversity efforts on the UK campus. Our staff is diverse in many ways and we strive to mirror the population we serve in the UK community. UKCC works to serve students in ways that support and affirm all of their identities. Company History
The University of Kentucky is the flagship university for the state. It is a major research institution with over 31,000 students and 16 academic colleges. In addition to the undergraduate and graduate programs, the campus includes professional programs within the Colleges of Medicine, Law, Health Sciences, Pharmacy and Dentistry and the University Medical Center/Chandler Hospital.
