Company Profile
Momentous Institute
Company Overview
Momentous Institute has been building and repairing social emotional health for over 90 years. The organization serves 6,000 kids and family members directly each year through mental health programs and a social emotional health-based curriculum at its nationally acclaimed Momentous School. In addition to our direct work with kids and families, we invest in research, innovative program development and training - all in an effort to help far more children than we can serve directly. Last year alone, we trained over 5,000 professionals from 20 states.
Company History
Since 1920, Momentous Institute (formerly Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers) has been powered by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, a service organization of more than 600 business and community leaders committed to transforming kids’ lives. Our nationally acclaimed lab school opened in 1997 and at our Oak Cliff campus. In 2006, a second campus opened in northwest Dallas to expand our therapeutic services for children in need.
As a leading provider of therapeutic and education services, Momentous Institute impacts 6,000 kids and family members each year. We tailor our approach to the specific needs of each child and their family situation and focus on building and repairing social emotional health — developing kids who become self-regulated, good communicators, problem-solvers, empathetic, grateful, gritty and optimistic.
When the Salesmanship Club of Dallas launched in 1920, it was an immediate pioneer in providing innovative services, including the nation’s first year-round, residential treatment camp for troubled youth.
Since 1968, Momentous Institute has been the beneficiary of the AT&T Byron Nelson, an annual PGA TOUR golf tournament in North Texas that has raised $143 million.
The combined support of Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the AT&T Byron Nelson, corporations, individuals, and foundations power these efforts and truly change the odds for kids in our community and beyond.
