Description

The Division of Pediatric Psychology at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan Health invites applications for a 2 pediatric psychology faculty appointments within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. The University of Michigan is in Ann Arbor, a vibrant and diverse community consistently rated as one of the best places to live in the United States. 

We are seeking 2 pediatric psychologists to join the Pediatric Psychology Inpatient Consultation-Liaison (CL) Service to provide psychosocial assessment, recommendations, and problem-focused intervention for children and adolescents who are hospitalized at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. A portion of clinical time will also be spent in outpatient clinical services in collaboration with the Division of Pediatric Neurology, with youth diagnosed with  epilepsy and functional neurological disorders. 

The administrative home of the successful candidate would be the Division of Pediatric Psychology, which is comprised of over 20 faculty who are fully integrated into pediatric subspecialty areas, and have close and supportive working relationships with both community pediatricians and hospital-based physician specialists.  Supervision and training for pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellows, interns, advanced practicum students, pediatric house officers, and medical students is expected.  

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree from an APA/CPA-accredited program and internship, postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology, and be licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the state of Michigan. Successful applicants will have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an inpatient medical setting, with interest and experience in pediatric neurological disorders. Experience in program development, implementation, and clinical research is also desired. Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
