About the Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide highlevel clinical services and leadership within a dynamic mental health rehabilitation environment. You’ll work closely with consumers, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidencebased interventions that support recovery, dignity, and wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver advanced OT assessment and intervention for consumers with mental health and rehabilitation needs
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to OT staff and students
- Contribute to clinical coordination and complex case planning with the MDT
- Lead and participate in service improvement initiatives
- Promote recoveryoriented practice and maintain high standards of clinical care
- Build strong collaborative relationships across the Mental Health Service Group and external partners
About the Service
The Townsville Community Care and Acquired Brain Injury Unit provides a safe, respectful, and recoveryfocused environment for up to 34 consumers. Our goal is to support individuals in regaining independence and transitioning back into the community. You’ll be supported by an experienced, collaborative team who are passionate about rehabilitation and recovery.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- Strong clinical skills in mental health and rehabilitation
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience providing supervision and contributing to service development
- Commitment to recoveryoriented, culturally responsive practice
- A current Class C driver’s licence
Eligibility for Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status is desirable but not essential.
