The job of Senior Director - Expedition Behavioral Education is done for the purpose of providing strategic leadership for behavioral services and programs across Educational Service District 113. The role encompasses the management and leadership functions necessary to ensure successful educational programming for students whose needs arise from significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The Senior Director leads an administrative team overseeing three regional special education services, Pathfinder (outreach, consultation, and training), Olympic Academy (specialized social-emotional and behavioral support), and Summit Academy (intensive, ABA-based services). The Senior Director ensures strategic alignment between the three regional services, to strengthen student safety, instructional access, and successful transitions back to home districts. The Senior Director provides departmental direction, safeguards program fidelity, and upholds consistent procedures to support cohesive, high-quality programming.
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
Education: Master's degree in job related area.
Equivalency: Master's Degree or Advanced Training preferred.
Required Testing, Certificates and Licenses
Preferred Certificates:
Certificate Endorsement in Special Education preferred
Valid WA State Administrative Certificate preferred
Valid WA State Teaching Credential preferred
Required Licenses:
Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability
