Locatedin Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college,offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses inWellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community, and have adesire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs andbackgrounds. The Program Coordinator English language learners (ELL) toBehavioral Health and Technology Pathways position at MassBay will report to Executive Director of CorporatePartnerships and Workforce Development (CPWD). This position will also work in close collaboration as a partner withthe Director of Community Education. TheProgram Coordinator is a role that supports each of our international,newcomer, immigrant and incumbent worker students in their journey through English as a second language (ESL), BasicComputers as a base and moving them into Behavioral Health Technician,Psychology, Study of Human Behavior, Crisis Management, EPIC, Cyber Security.
This is a one year position to provide practical training.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support program and student with English as a second language - Behavioral Health Technician (ESL- BHT) pathway requirements;
- Develop and support new programming Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and technology;
- Facilitate new engaging career events, industry-informing kiosks, community fairs about Behavioral Health and Technology;
- Develop new relationships with partnerships to help community and constituents understand our pathways;
- Meet one on one with English as a second language (ESL) pathway students as touchpoints;
- Collaborate with career services staff and instructors in Behavioral Health and Technology programs to support student success and program operations;
- Work with faculty to understand and anticipate their needs and expectations from each student;
- Ensure all compliance with program certification requirements are completed by each student;
- Expand community awareness about jobs in Behavioral Health and Technology;
- Work across departments and community and data administrator to build successful outcomes;
- Develop systems within the workplace to inform more community members about ESL- BHT and Technology pathways;
- Monitor all student compliance and attendance and provide referrals to wrap around supports as needed;
- Teach English language learners (ELL) and evaluate student outcomes;
- Create content for career pathways for English language learners (ELL) students;
- Accept training in Training Opportunities Program (TOPS) administration with MassHire;
- Maintain strong connections with behavioral health partners, corporate associates, students, and industry stakeholders;
- Collaborate closely with instructors in Behavioral Health Tech, Technology, and Health Care to support best practices, strengthen partnerships, and promote successful career placement outcomes;
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships data administrator to support all operational needs of the English as a second language (ESL)‑to‑Behavioral Health and ESL‑to‑Technology pathways, including student placement and program coordination;
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director to support student success and job placement efforts, including scheduling courses, workshops, and fairs, and assisting with recruiting and registration activities;
- Navigate multiple educational resources related to psychology and human behavior and provides support with logins, classroom links, space allocation, certificates, and systems required for students to complete program pipelines and meet career requirements;
- Support students to succeed on their educational journey from English language learners (ELL) to Career Certificate;
- Direct community outreach and engagement;
- Other duties as assigned.
WorkSchedule: Must have reliabletransportation and the ability to commute to worksites. Must work onsite at Framingham at least 2- 3days a week. Saturdays and occasionalevents offsite

Required Qualifications:
- Experience supported non traditional adult learners in an educational program;
- Interest in Behavioral Health, Human Development, Psychology, Crisis Management and Technology;
- Ability to engage with external constituents from many diverse backgrounds;
- Ability to travel regionally to multiple community partners and sites;
- Ability to support students to succeed on their educational journey from ELL to Career Certificate;
- Able to direct community outreach and engagement;
- Able to problem solve across multiple partnerships;
- Experience administering ESL assessments;
- Ability to create enthusiasm and momentum around career fields in behavioral health and technology;
- Experience offering direct services that support constituents with long term goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish);
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
- Interest in ELL, Psychology, Human Behavior and Technology;
- Experience with workplace learning;
- ELL Student coaching or advising experience.

Salary Range: $53,000
