Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead an inpatient behavioral health hospital, providing oversight for all clinical programs and services. This physician leader will be responsible for medical administration, clinical supervision, fiscal oversight, and the development of high-quality, patient-centered care in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team.Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, collaborating closely with the CEO, CFO, COO, and EVP
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all clinical services
- Develop, recommend, and implement clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Direct and coordinate psychiatric services, including oversight of medical staff and APRNs
- Ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of all psychiatric and medical care delivered to hospitalized patients
- Maintain a limited clinical caseload (up to six patients)
- Participate in shared weekend and evening call coverage with other employed physicians
Education & Experience Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification in Adult or Child Psychiatry
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience in inpatient behavioral health services
- Active Massachusetts medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Demonstrated experience in program development and implementation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal leadership skills
