WHY JOIN CHOCTAW CONTRACTING SERVICES:Choctaw Contracting Services (CCS) is building a candidate pipeline in support of a potential U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) behavioral health services contract. This opportunity is designed for experienced Behavioral Health Technicians interested in supporting psychological readiness, resilience, and quality-of-life initiatives for intelligence personnel operating in high-demand and sensitive environments.
If awarded, this role would support preventive and non-clinical behavioral health services for Soldiers, civilians, and family members across geographically dispersed INSCOM locations. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care & Behavioral Health Support:Conduct or assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of behavioral health patients under the direction of licensed providers.Perform initial basic assessment procedures, including standardized psychological testing, clinical interviews, mental status examinations, substance abuse evaluations, and psychological or nursing assessments.Observe, monitor, document, and report patient progress and behavioral changes to the clinical care team.Obtain, document, and report vital signs in accordance with clinical protocols. Counseling & Therapeutic Support:Conduct or assist in group and individual counseling interventions, therapeutic community activities, and related milieu treatment programs in accordance with Defense Health Agency (DHA) policies.Provide patient education to enhance awareness and understanding of mental and behavioral health conditions.Implement precautionary measures to ensure patient safety and reduce risk of injury or self-harm. Care Coordination & Case Management:Coordinate with military, civilian, and community agencies regarding patient care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative functions.Obtain collateral information from appropriate agencies and assist in referral coordination to public, private, and military community resources.Explain and interpret available behavioral health services to patients, families, and other stakeholders as appropriate. Documentation & Administrative Support:Prepare, maintain, and manage patient records, reports, and documentation related to behavioral health services and specialty care.Support case management and administrative processes as required to ensure continuity of care. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Education:Associate's degree or Certificate (Level 2)Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program, orCompletion of equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education. Experience:Two (2) years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician after graduation.Experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the U.S. military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training, orCivilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients.Demonstrated experience working in structured, high-accountability environments. Licensure & Certifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
Clearance Requirements:Active Secret security clearance required. Top Secret/SCI eligibility requiredTS/SCI Preferred Skills & Competencies:Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to effectively communicate with government personnel and healthcare providers.Demonstrated professionalism, maturity, sound judgment, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel, officers, senior military, and civilian leadership, spouses, and family members.Ability to operate in sensitive environments requiring discretion, adaptability, and adherence to ethical standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
WORK CONDITIONS: Location:INSCOM-supported locations (assignment dependent on contract award and mission needs. Schedule:Standard duty hours, typically Monday-Friday, with flexibility to support leadership engagements, travel, and command events.
