The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown invites applications for a full-time position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Psychology. The area of specialization is open, but expertise or experience teaching in areas of developmental psychology is particularly desired. A successful candidate will be able to aid our students in obtaining jobs within the field of developmental psychology, such as those in education, school psychology, and child or gerontological counseling.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include a 12-hour teaching load per term (i.e., 4:4 load) and an active research program, including supervision of undergraduates, along with departmental, divisional, and college-wide service activities. Teaching duties include Introduction to Psychology, Child Development, Adolescent Development, Lifespan Development, Adult Development, and other courses in one's specialty area.
Qualifications:
Applicants are required to have a doctoral degree in Psychology or related field by August, 2026. Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in higher education. Preferred candidates will have experience conducting and publishing research.
